Born in Kyiv in 1979, Ani Zur graduated from Moscow State University of Culture and Arts in 2008.
Ani Zur is a co-founder and member of the Live_Art_Lab group (Kyiv, Ukraine).
She works in photography, video, performance.
In her projects, Ani explores the theme of human belonging to their roots, and also the idea of ‘corporeity’ (personal, scientific and political aspects). She raises the issues of the search of self and way of self-exploration from the aspect of scientific studies of the nature of all living beings on the Earth, primal archetypal images of feminine principle and, simultaneously, she does subjective interpretation of corporeity. The artist emphasizes impressions, feelings, prevailing the emotional sensual part of personality over the mind.
Ani lives in Kyiv.
