Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, sculptor, author of objects and installations.
Born in the Vradiivka village, Mykolaivska region, Oleh worked as a lettering artist at Mykolaiv Art Fund between 1978 and 1979. In 1984, he graduated from Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Art.
In 1987, Oleh together with Kostiantyn Rieunov proclaimed the Willpower Edge of National Post-Eclecticism program the main aim of which was the wish to outline the national space as a theme for depiction, renovation and re-realization of artistic language, art traditions and foundations of fine art.
In 1988, Oleh became a co-founder of the artistic group named Willpower Edge of National Post-Eclecticism.
Between 1989 and 1993, the artist worked in Moscow and was a member Furmannyi Provulok and Triokhprudnyi Provulok artistic groups.
Since the mid 1990s, Oleh together with Mykola Matsenko develops the Natsprom idea – the investigation of national stereotypes pinpointed on a subject environment.
In 1994, he took part in 22d Biennale in São Paolo.
In 2001, Oleh participated in Biennale in Venice.
Since 1993 the artist lives and works in Kyiv.
