Born in Velyki Telkovychi village (Rivnenska region) in 1948, Vasyl graduated from Grekov Odesa Art School in 1977.
Vasyl Sad is a member of the Mamai artistic group, the foundation of which was based on Odesa non-conformism movement in ‚60s. He is an active participant of apartment exhibitions.
The abstract works of Sad are made on iron and framed with handmade wooden planes. Artistic process for the artist, working with color, texture and volume — is a meditation. On his paintings, human as a depicted object is absent but at the same time is present as a viewer of the beauty of the universe.
