Koterlin Rostyslav

Artist, art historian, journalist
Born in Ivano-Frankivsk, in 1966, Rostyslav Koterlin belongs to the ’Stanislav phenomenon’ activists — artistic phenomenon which united artists, writers, musicians whose activity influenced the development of Ukrainian art between 1989 and 1996.
In 1998, Rostyslav graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the Faculty of Journalism. Since 1999 he has covered the position of editor in the «Kinets kintsem»almanac which covers the contemporary art theme.
Rostyslav Koterlin is an explorer and analyst of processes that take place in contemporary art, the author of studies and articles about the Ivano-Frankivsk artists. An organizer and participant of practically all the programs and projects of the city in the ’90s.
Rostyslav is the scholar of the Ministry of Culture and Cultural Heritage of Poland (2005) as the editor of almanac in the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art (Warsaw).
Also, he cooperates with Pavlo Hudimov Ya Gallery Art Center.
As an artist he works with such media as fine art, photography, video, objects, installation, collage.
Rostyslav Koterlin lives and works in Ivano-Frankivsk.
